What Next?

Pete has various projects on the go and is looking for sponsors to help him complete them. As you will see below, one thing Pete can offer any sponsor is plenty of PR!

Land Speed Record Attempt Streamliner

Pete's land speed record attempt streamliner machine is over 21 feet (7 metres) long and weighs half a ton. Many years work and several £1000s of Pete's own money and expertise have gone into the design and construction of this massive machine. Originally designed with motorcycle power in mind, Pete will now be modifying the bike to accept a Rolls Royce Viper jet engine from a military jet-trainer aeroplane.

This engine has some 1600 pounds of thrust, enough to propel the jet-plane along at 400 mph in level flight. It should be enough to push the TWO FACED streamliner along at 300+ mph (preferably on the ground, says Pete!). Pete already has the Viper jet engine for this. The jet outlet will be bifurcated each side of the back wheel.

Triple-engined Kawasaki Drag Bike

Pete's 3300cc triple-engined KAWASAKI drag-bike uses 3 GPZ 1100 cc engines! It should produce around 300 bhp at the rear tyre running on petrol, although nitro MAY be tried at a later date. The frame is a mixture of mild steel and Reynolds 531 tubing, bronze-welded and chrome plated as is usual with Pete's bikes. It is still under construction. The machine will also carry the "TWO FACED" name in the tradition of his other well-known machine.

Sponsorship and Public Relations

Pete can offer any sponsors plenty of PR. He has already appeared on television a number of times over the course of his various projects and has been the subject of numerous press articles. His original TWO FACED bike is run at public meetings and selected classic events and attracts a lot of interest. Examples of the publicity Pete has attracted are a seven page article in Motorcycle Classics, articles in Classic Bike, Motorcycle Mechanics, Motor Cycle News and even a continental magazine resulting from Pete's appearance at the International Motor Show in Essen Germany. Pete is also often asked to appear at shows, and these are a very prominent place for sponsors' names to be seen by literally thousands of people.

Pete would like to assure any would-be sponsors that he does not smoke, rarely drinks (except at special occasions such as Christmas!) and therefore any money received will go where it is intended - into his projects. His achievements so far and his determination to continue should speak volumes. Pete will also keep in touch with any sponsors, keeping them updated with pictures and other information. Pete's main requirement at the moment, apart from cash of course, is a decent reliable van to transport his drag-bikes to meetings. His own vehicle is well past its sell-by date! TWO FACED runs on nitromethane fuel at around £38 per gallon, and the engine oil at £5 a gallon is changed every run, so you can see the expense involved. When Pete gets his new Kawasaki drag-bike up and running it will be a cheaper proposition as it will use conventional aviation fuel not nitro and engines will not be subject to as many blow-ups.
